Christmas Angel

Andrew St. Wilson 1954 (Libertyville, Ill)

Soaring from heaven’s gate
while shepherds wait
Brought us blessings foretold
by prophets of old
 With your angelic kiss
you touched the darkness
 A mother’s joy
and this baby boy
 His gift of love enduring
brought joy of sharing
 Smile upon us, reminding us
of holiday cheer
and things we hold so dear
The story we’ll always tell
once delivered
by a Christmas angel
