If Tear Drops Were Roses

If Teardrops were roses
I would like them all to be
All lined up in a single row
For all the world to see

Then I would cover all the roses
With a rainbow and set them on the ground
Then an angel would take these roses
And send them heaven bound

If all these roses were tear drops
That you have ever cried
I would lay them at the cross
Where our savior died

Then I would take all these tears of pain
and put them on the ground
and cover them with roses
and send them heaven bound

If all good tears were flower seeds
in a meadow i would sow
and take you there to watch them
as they began to grow

These flowers would become rainbows
And heaven bound they would go
Then return to flower seeds
That our Lord would sow

He would plant them in a meadow
that he's keeping up above
Each tear he cried would water them
To show his eternal love

Teardrops aren't roses
but if they could be
I would plant them in a meadow
And take you there to see

If rainbows were teardrops
I would want them all to be
Drops of hope for all gods people
So they could stop and see.
