At last

At last

In the morning dawn,  I frown
With spiking thoughts of undelightable yawns
The elementary groanings starts
The clock is ticking but my mind is stale
What day is it? I dare to ask!

Chirping birds resounds their usual melodies
Giving some hope to cheer me for another day
Will I make it to the end of the day?
Or is my heart going to need reminiscent aid?
Recollection of surmountting are frivolous

Elongated by the cunning deception of employment
I silently pray for deployment
But the status quo is irrefutable
I gently drag myself to shower
To hide the pain for a hour
As the water reminds of my day that is sour

I artificially pray for the power
Are this unwelcoming realities of horror
Will I finish my tasks today without a warning
Will the day be merciful to see through my mourning
Will my lunchbox bring any comfort to groaning

Or will Poetic justice locate my  lodging
How do I reduce the hour to reach my humble abode
Home that is unfamiliar to my mind
To finally say I made it At last
But is it  really lasting
But for now I will endure
For at last I will celebrate yet a little while

At last , home is not homey
But it's enough for me to rest
At last

The poem titled "At last" is inspired by the growing intense need to get to the finish line. It is often said that starting something proves to be way more challenging than the idea or the dream itself. The most rewarding feeling is embracing failures on the path to success to shape you for your moment of arrival to your predestined end when you will take a deep sigh of relief from a place of thanksgiving for having endured to the end just like a woman who undergone an intense labour to deliver a baby finally beams with joy on the breathtaking face of the bundle of joy before her. The poem titled "At last" is about a st
