A Granite Winter

In the heart of New England's grand terrain,
Lies New Hampshire, where the winters reign.
With a chill that seeps into your bones,
Nature's ice sculptures, the wind intones.

The White Mountains stand, majestic and tall,
Their peaks like giants, sturdy and gall.
A blanket of snow, so pure and so bright,
Turns the landscape into a magical sight.

The lakes are mirrors, glazed with ice,
reflecting the beauty, a winter's paradise.
The pines are frosted, a silvery hue,
A world transformed, a breathtaking view.

Yet, with the coldness that pierces the air,
There's a warmth in the hearth, a cozy lair.
The crackling fire, the hot chocolate’s steam,
New Hampshire's winter, a crystalline dream.

The snowflakes dance, a delicate waltz,
Each one unique, a mystery to exalt.
The cold may be biting, the winds may howl,
But the beauty it brings, makes the soul prowl.

So here's to the cold, the extreme, the fierce,
In New Hampshire's winter, our hearts it pierces.
But also to the beauty, serene and immense,
A season of contrast, of experiences vastly intense.
