Depths of scars

Jay Miron 1986 (Sudbury)

In the depths of sorrow, where shadows linger, A soul cries out, its pain a whisper, With every breath, a battle within, a haunting melody, a symphony of sin. In the end, it doesn't even matter. The tears we shed, the dreams we scatter, We strive, we fall, we stumble, and we break. But from the ashes, strength awakens. Time, a fleeting companion, slips away. With each passing moment, a night turns into a day. Yet still, we hold on, our hearts aflame, searching for solace in hope's gentle flame. But what is hope but a fragile thread? A delicate embrace, when all seems dead, In hours of darkness, it guides us through. A beacon of light, leading to something new. When everything unravels and all is lost, the power within us comes at a cost. A transformation, profound and true, From the shattered pieces, we'll rise anew. With words unspoken and etched into our core, An unyielding spirit, forevermore, Though pain may pierce and sorrow may sting, we find our strength, our purpose, and our wings. So, let these verses stir the depths within. A reminder of resilience, of the battles we've been in, For in our struggles, our souls take flight, and in the end, our spirits burn bright. In a world of chaos where hope seems frail, I stand beneath the night sky to tell a tale. Of love, lost in the vast expanse of time, a yearning heart, so tender and sublime. A single tear cascaded down my cheek. Echoing the ache of love too weak, yet in its sorrow, a flicker of light, A bittersweet dance of passion's might The moon above, a witness to it all, Unveiling secrets as night's shadows fall, Whispers of longing carried on the breeze, like melodies of longing across the seas. For love can be tempestuous, wild, and free. It paints the canvas with shades of ecstasy, but in its depths, it is a fragile, delicate art, a masterpiece that can tear worlds apart. Oh, love, you are a tapestry of desire, igniting flames that burn with a fierce fire. Through joy and heartache intertwined, we find our essence and our souls aligned. So let these words, like gentle ripples, flow. Stirring hearts that ache with a soft echo, may they touch the depths where emotions reside. And in their wake, souls are forever tied.
