A ghost story.

When I was little,
my grandpa told us ghost stories,
sitting in middle.

On those days in the evenings,
power cuts were very common.
So candle sticks were used,
in those frequent loadsheddings.

In the summer evenings,
when soothing winds blew softly,
we could here the rustling,
sounds of bamboo leaves.

After finishing our tasks,
we ran to him
and nagging for the ghost stories.
Then he started it sitting among us.

Puffing his hookah,closing his eyes.
he contemplated his story.
We listened to him
With pooped eyes.

Once he encountered with a 'jin'
when he was returning in the evening,
from the market with a big size of fish,
after a spell of rain.

 It was a disasterous evening.
As there was no man,
on the road,
his heart was throbbing.

The surroundings were not only silent
but also eerie.
Only he could hear,
the sounds of his own feet.

The sky became clear,
after a spell of rain.
The soothing beams of the moon,
spread far and near.

Suddenly he heard another sound
of feet with his own.
He startled,stopped
and moved round.

He couldn't find anybody.
Only a gust of moist laden
wind touched him.
He shivered and became unsteady.

When he ahead few steps again,
It seemed someone was following him.
He paced first.
The sounds of mysterious steps began.

Now he got goose bumped.
He started to run
as first as he can
but heard a nasal sound.

As lf someone repeatedly claimed the fish
which he carried.
Then he got relief
throwing the fish into a rubbish.
