What is Grief?

What is grief?

It's getting emotional during a comedy that you've seen numerous times and never once shed a tear.
It's thinking about things you haven't thought about in years.
It makes you tired.
It drains you of happiness for days.
It makes you feel like nothing is actually wrong and all of a sudden it all hits you like a train.
It's a feeling I wish to never feel again but know that I must.
Even if it's sooner than I want it to be.
It's an enemy you'll never beat and a friend you'll never lose.
Sometimes it feels like a voice in the dark, the light at the end of the tunnel.
What is grief?

It's too much.
