Im as pitiful as a puppy.

following people around, clawing at theyre legs.

begging for them to pet me. begging to be noticed and cared for.


and youre as cold as stone.

never changing, aging with everyone but staying the same.

nevering expressing emotions,

because you know nobody would care.


im as emotional as a baby.

crying over the spilt milk of my emotions.

crying over the tipped tower of my patience.

crying over being bent like a piece of paper.

crying because i work like a dog. day and night. only to be thrown out like and empty bottle

but youre distasteful.

taiting my tongue with poison.

falling into my mouth, and making me sick.

making me vulnerable, helpless, and dependent on you.

using your tears as acid and hurting me.

because i use your arms as bandaids.

you hold me in your arms. comforting me because you know ill run back. like a lost dog. i follow your scent "home"

but it isnt home. its a cage. you trap me. you hold me captive in the cage of your arms.

the arms i once took comfort in.

youre as sly as a fox.
youre as rude as a wasp.
youre as careless as an elephant.
youre as slippery as an eel.

youre as dead as fossils.
