Wake up

One day she'll wake up,
she will open her eyes .
The truth will then flow in,
she's been blinded by his lies.
Pain will surely set in,
but a relief it will be.
She can then sort things through,
and realize what needs to be.
Let go of the past, hold onto some
present, look forward to the future.
With no regrets or burdens.
The pain then lessen,
the brightness she'll then see.
No more need for this daze,
no need for the dreams.
She will then get up, move forward,
move on.
Her steps no longer heavy her heart
now with full beats.
The future can begin,
a life that's meant to be.
So awake sweet girl,
no more hiding in the shadows.
Head held high with pride,
no more fears or sorrows.
