The Messenger

Lost in a world of chaos and destruction,
There was one goal for messengers.
Along the war-torn battlefield,
Across no-mans land, they ran.

In accordance with the plan,
From A to B.
Amongst the whistling bombs of metallic eruption,
And with a message of vital importance,

He arrived at his destination.
But with the determination and courage,
That I saw in that young man,
He turned around and began his journey once again.
