The Anxiety Prison

The prison of anxiety
Does not have bars that you can see,
Nor can you see the walls that keep
The one whose hope is now asleep.

This prison only has parole
That never lasts to be a goal
And pardons do not come to those
Afflicted by its lifetime woes.

The prison clothes look just the same
As if to hide the prison shame
That prisoners will sometimes feel;
A fear of things we must conceal.
