Freedom Of Expression...

Robert Catron 1963 (Kansas)

A door inside me was recently opened for which I had no key,
Artistic expression has been unlocked - as you can now see.
All these feelings are being rejuvenated - now flowing like a stream,
It's much easier for words to be written now that I don't need to scream.
My ability to expressively write was locked away for so long,
Now it can once again be allowed to flow - like the words of a song.
It's a fact of life that some people in this world will tear one apart,
For they were born not just without a conscious - but some without a heart.
I've learned that people will come and go  - some leaving pain and destruction in their path,
Only thinking of themselves - not caring about God's Holy wrath.
I intend to live my life differently - not trusting in all of the people I meet,
My advice - be cautious of some of the  people you greet.
I have come to appreciate the power of the truth and what true freedom means,
I don't care to go back to who I once was - today I wear a different pair of jeans.
Will there ever come a time I attest to know all there is,
No, for I'm thankful that day will never come - for that glory is all His.
