In the Dark of Night, long poem
In the dark of night, as slumber takes hold, I find myself in a strange place, so different and unknown—
A land filled with mystery, where shadows and secrets are tightly entwined,
A place where moonlit fields shimmer with an eerie glow, whispers of magic gently rustling through the air,
A land where I can wander far, hoping to find someone special who awaits me there.
"Oh, what a marvelous dream!" I say with a soft sigh, "A dream that pulls me in, enticing me to explore the unknown—
Nothing else matters."
But as I continue dreaming, a sound breaks the silence, a haunting call that sends shivers down my spine,
A chilling knock on the door, a knock that echoes deep within, filling me with an inexplicable fear—
I rise from my slumber, taking hesitant steps across the creaky floor,
"Who stands outside?" I whisper timidly, "Who is knocking on my door?
Please, tell me, and nothing more."
With trembling hands, I turn the doorknob, propelled by fate's unseen forces,
And to my astonishment, a fantastical sight unfolds before my eyes—
A moonlit garden, radiant and serene, flowers bathed in the gentle glow of the moon,
A garden untouched by human hands, where magical beings dance in ethereal harmony.
"What does all this mean?" I wonder, my head filled with confusion and eerie wonder,
"What does this enchanted scene signify? Please, enlighten me, and nothing more."
A delicate smile graces her spectral face as she appears, her eyes filled with secrets unknown,
I reach out to embrace her, longing to feel her warmth and presence,
But like a fleeting ghost, she fades away, disappearing into thin air,
Leaving behind a single rose, symbolizing love in this realm of shadows and despair.
"Why did you fade away?" I whisper, my voice filled with longing and sorrow,
"Why did you leave me in this eternal grief? Please, tell me, and nothing more."
And then, from above, a voice whispers softly, its words sending chills down my spine—
"You shall never see her again, for she has vanished into the depths of night,
Gone from your reach forevermore, lost in realms unseen, forevermore.
Grieve her absence, mourn your fate, as she has slipped away from your sight—
Only this and nothing more."
