Let’s count!

Staring at stars
Wondering if that
Twinkling can glean
In my eyes.

Are they worthy
To fill time and space.
Can my smile fill others
Hearts, and can its perchance.
Settle joy in their grasp.

Am I worthy.
This boredom covers
Tears.
But the curiousity
Bends my will.

Are we worthy
Of each others presence.
Is time guilt on my belt.
And if I’m asked why?

I say
It’s joy in my grasp
That fills others hearts.
In time we both count
The stars in our heavens.

And I’d invite you to watch
The stars while our curiousity
Wells up like a fountain.

Come and count,
Stars.
Let’s sway in the night
Sky, filled with curiousity
And dreams.
