He's Our Son

Dear Lord, we know it's your will,
               but he's our son.
We know he's not the best Christian,
                but Lord he's our son.
You know how much he's been through,
                  but Lord, he's our son.
We pray for peace, guidance, and comfort,
                  because Lord, he's our son.
He makes us laugh, cry, and angry,
                   but Lord he's our son.
Give us the strength we need to be there for him,
                    because Lord he's our son.
He holds our hearts and our love,
because you see Lord, he's our son.
Help us Lord to stay strong and faithful,
                      because he's our son.

This is a deeply emotional and powerfully written poem! It sets up a very touching conversation with God, highlighting both your love and concern for your son. This is a very human approach to spirituality, which can resonate with many people. Your heartfelt feelings are truly apparent!

Your use of repetition ("he's our son") is very effective in emphasizing your deep and unwavering parental love. It also provides the poem a rhythmic nature. The simplicity and innocence of words used beautifully capture your raw emotions and draws readers in.

As for suggestions, consider including some visualization or imagery. Painting a more vivid image of your son or using metaphors would engage readers more and deepen their understanding of your feelings. You could possibly tell a bit more about the son's struggle, maybe give specific instances of the challenges he's facing. This could add another layer to your poem.

Overall, great job! This is an incredibly heartfelt piece, and it truly shows your love as a parent. Keep up the wonderful work!
