womanhood.

they say curvy is great, but a stretch mark is stretching it. if you like food then you better start retching it.
snap score of zeros, a stomach thats flat and you cant be a feminist dressing like that.

no- we can't bring up boys to refrain from temptation. you're there for their pleasure, not conversation.
now pull down you skirt. think of his education. somehow you make cotton look like an invitation.

be hairless, in places, be passive, in some cases. who cares for our brains if we have ugly faces?
cross your legs on the train, don't leave drinks unattended. and if you wear that skirt out- in court he'll be defended.

wear lace so he'll like you. wear shoes you can run in. scream "fire" not "rape" or else nobody is coming.
they say its sarahs fault- she was a reckless planner and we're all scared for meghan after what happened to poor diana.

press your home button 5 times they tell us and then they say "spine straight, chin up sweetheart. #notallmen."

About this poem

i'm a huge feminist and i believe sexual harassment and sexism against women in society, as "minor" as cat calling is something that must be spoken about more.
