The darkest light

In the depths of the night,
Where shadows loom and darkness reigns,
There lies a light, hidden from sight,
But still burning, though it seems in vain.
It's not the brightest, or the most pure,
But it's a glimmer, a spark of hope,
A small flame, burning in the obscure,
A faint ray, a beacon of scope

Though it may seem dim and small,
This light is resilient and tough,
It shines on, despite the darkness' call,
A beacon of strength, through the rough.
In the darkest of times, it's a sign,
A reminder that hope is still alive,
A gentle glow, a glint divine,
A faint promise, a promise to thrive.
