The Bird In The Cage

There’s a pale blue bird in a cage
She sits on the brink
Nobody notices, nobody thinks
A bird is meant to be in the sky, not wasting away; while she is forced to be displayed.

But alas, she is caged, plucking away her feathers; tempering her pain, not knowing who put her in this life long frame.

The bird wishes for someone to open the gate, praying and pleading in hopes that if she awaits, someone will delicate her freedom fate.

But until then, she remains, desperate and frail, for her life is a fragile tale.
