Stumbling Along

Everybody bitching, everybody wishing,
Everybody is on the run.
Everybody hiding,
Frantically fighting,
To keep things from coming undone.

Everybody tripping, everybody falling,
Everybody keeps stumbling along.
Everybody bleeding,
Pointlessly competing,
At a bullshit game that can’t be won.

Everybody praying, people keep saying,
That a time is going to come.
Everybody hoping,
Silently knowing,
That a countdown has begun.

Everybody crying, everybody dying,
Trying to find the sun.
We’re all pretending,
There is no ending,
While staring down the barrel of a loaded gun.

About this poem

We're all on this ride called existence, alone, together. Wishing you all beautiful days, my friends, and may kindness be your compass.
