stiff air

stiff air
I wonder who would care
The teacher in the room?
A kid or two?
Maybe the desk and chair?
But it seems to me that
no one cares.
Perhaps a fly on the wall
Maybe the crying girl in the bathroom stall.
Stiff air and the typing of keys
Dim bulbs in need of replacing
Does anyone care?
Leg thump-thumping
Mind tick-ticking
I have so much to do for people who don't care.
stiff air.
I would like to breathe again.
