Someone’s loss

SOMEONE’S LOSS !!
Loss may be a small word but leaves a big hole in the heart,
When this is a family or friend you just don’t know where to start,
Can I even talk to them or should I just avoid,
Will they even talk to me or will they be annoyed,
We will never know where we stand if we never try,
Maybe at the very worst they might have a little cry,
Everyone has had a loss and even felt some pain,
A tender word in their ear might just stop them drain,
Just an act of kindness does not cost a lot,
It is very easy for each one of us to simply lose the plot,
So just a hardy handshake a word or even just a smile,
This could make a difference and make it all worthwhile.
