sea breeze

Thomas Larr 2006 (Michigan)

The sea breeze
 that waves to me
Mutters indiscreetly
 throughout the night
If only it were honest
When it said those things to me
I shutter from the thought
Of forever being secluded
Isolated without a sound
In my mind that's blank
Standing alone
Voicing my worries
Only heard by the fog
The scent of freshly
Planted flowers
wafting down towards me
on this afternoon
if I were to say it
Would i be swallowed whole
by the nearing crash of the waves?
my haven the sea
Warms my heart within it’s breeze
these thoughts only
 bring out my insecurities
As I alone am the worst
 The Worst to be alone
this life of mine
Where even the landscape
lies to its travelers
I choose the sea to escape
the only solidarity I’ll ever find
the sea breeze that’s just mine
with such strong feelings of ardour
For my home
 That lies on the shore
 in east collioure

About this poem

There’s not much about it except about my own infatuation with the sea.
