Sacrifice and war

Every year a day in which we remember
Is that special date in the middle of November

The 11th day of the 11th month on the 1lth hour
we take a moments silence symbolised with an iconic red flower

It's the poppy we wear with a bursting pride
On our chests in which we do not hide

Forever grateful across this great nation
Pay our respects to current and past generations

Whom sacrificed there life for me and you
We take a moment of silence to remember what they had to go through

To free this nation from all that could of been
Unimaginable bravery amongst them in which they'll of seen

Civilians, nurses and the many horses
Who lost there lives alongside the armed forces

So we pay our respects to those we never met, sacrificed for future generations so
lest we forget
