Rocks in the Ocean

a rock in the sea
eroded and broken
slowly being chipped away
piece by piece
the currents brush their undurable waves
until this young rock is no more than a pebble
of course in the world
this rock is but me
society the ocean
yet how can this be?
the kids are alone
the young girl is cutting
the boys are all joking
about depression and dying
we crawl into corners
alone in the dark
because if name calling
and how parents leave a mark
the youth is dead
no paradise in sight
society’s broken
this can’t get much worse
whoever bestowed us the horrible curse?
adults are ignorant
killing us all
and we’re just the rocks
Submerged in the sea
society’s the ocean
and dying are we
