Leaving you without my mind

Left here last night and back
With an enormous load on my back
And had an intention so inclined
On leaving you without my mind

Never ever felt so blind
In search of what I could find.
Having much to give than receive
And seeing grief upon the reef

High on each thought till the last
I hardly sat down to relax.
Returned with a sword of rewards
And my memories never spoke a word

Caught every crumb of time from scratch
Hoping to bring victory to the hatch
And when mystery stole the day so fast
My mind was numb from the blast

But here again I am to wine and dine
Thinking of you the most sublime
Knowing what must be done in time
And leaving you without my mind
