LEAD US NOT INTO PENN STATION

His better half is dynamite and she’s about to detonate
He’ll finally learn his lesson, get these messages for heavens sake
Maybe we don’t need to be depressed
Maybe we levitate
Maybe we revolt and we stay dry when the mental levee breaks
Maybe we vote against letting these warping broken records play
Maybe soon the bride and groom will set up shop atop this wedding cake
Maybe he’ll find that lifer who steps over every mess he makes.
Maybe she will love him in spite of a liars resume
Maybe she doesn’t pretend to get him and helps the man redecorate.
Maybe she’ll be crazy enough to penetrate his force field
Maybe she’ll show a coward heading south how good the north feels
Maybe she will make him feel important and when war visits his doorstep she’ll ignore it, and pour a drink without some big ordeal
Maybe she will tolerate the madness
Maybe she will stop to change his outlook and his bandage
Maybe she will operate in such a way that he’ll admit he’s famished .
Maybe she stops his frame from shaking
His brain from taking life for granted

Maybe man will study love just enough to mimic it
MAYBE SHES EQUIPPED TO FIX A DRIFTING PUZZLED IDIOT

Maybe this balanced baroness
Will eventually make him less of an embarrassment
Maybe he’ll stop grappling and galloping after carrot tips
Maybe chivalry lives and he’ll take the muddy splash from carriages
Maybe at long last he finds the exit of his labyrinth

Maybe he will find the one who teaches him to bite his tongue
The entity, sent to be aligned with him til iron lung

Maybe Love was a foreigner
A fairy tail
A myth
Maybe NONE of it was noteworthy til she rattles his crypt.

When She walks in YOU MUST NOT run out
Out of words
Out of verbs
Out of nouns
When She walks in YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST run out
Out of these excuses oozing drooling from the mouth.

While we dispose of our flesh I know we’ll go down in style
Hearts beating holes in our chests
As the tears surround our smiles
This dead end street
Drained of all excitement
I’m anxious now to meet whatever’s there to father Lightning

His better half
What a laugh
Tickled sick.
I saw you, You saw me
You saw me in half with a kiss
