It’s not on me, it’s on you.

Dreaming is better than living or maybe we dream about everything we are missing.

I want the things I never had
Like making more new memories with my dad
Or
laughing about the things we did but there are only memories of you and me when I was a kid.

I know it’s not just on me it’s also on you
but that’s the reason why it will never come true.

I think it’s strange
that after everything I tried
it never changed.

Dreams feels so real but they’re not,
I wish they would be more than just a thought.

I know it’s not just on me it’s also on you
but that’s the reason why it will never come true.

I always thought I could’ve done more
but
That’s not what a child is there for.

& Maybe I always knew that it’s not just on me, I was blind and saw everything I wanted to see.
But it scared me that it’s also on you
because then I realized it will never come true.

What I didn’t had is something I thought what could be
but you wanted a life with your new picture perfect family.

And when we asked for you,
you thought we meant your new family too.

I stopped asking and hoped you would reach out
but you made every spark of hope to a spark of doubt.

I Love dreaming even if it hurts,
it gives so much more than just words.

And it’s not just on me, it’s also on you
that’s when I realized everything from above are just dreams and will never come true
and maybe if it was more on me than it was on you..
then it wouldn’t have to stay a dream, it would’ve been true.

About this poem

we all know people who have the perfect family, seeing them having fun or just a good laugh with their dad, while others only get that in their dreams.
