I Rise

From my first day,
Beyond all dismay,
Through frazzle and fray,
Over all the trouble that lies,
I remain unbroken, and yet I rise.

 Despite adversity,
 In spite of all controversy,
Through storms weathered and worn, Comfortable under darkest of skies,
I remain unbroken, and yet I rise.

Present aside follies and blunder,
As the world goes asunder,
through the most piercing eyes,
I remain unbroken, and yet I rise.
