Flying

Soundless.
Her thoughts are not approached or even witnessed
When her hand is raised, it’s eternally ignored
When she opens up, she is always painfully misunderstood
Her movements are not noticed or even cared about
Her voice is unrecognisable to most
Her opinions. They aren’t listened too
She the last to be remembered and the first to be forgotten
It’s like you could say
Her whole life…
She truly is flying
Not freely and not willingly
But indefinitely under the radar
Unreasonably erased and humiliatingly disregarded

About this poem

This poem is a reflection of a young girls ideology. She believes society has no room for her. She finds her thoughts and feeling to be very overlooked.
