Faithful Abundance

When we’re born into this world
Growing up with situations we face
We each gravitate to finding our safe space

Learning from our parents and those around us
How to love and act
Values become ingrained in us that reflect in how we adapt

We all experience similar emotions
Though different events making us relatable in how we feel
Pain can either shape you to becoming cynical
Or grow your heart to heal

Pain is a necessary process to go through
It creates a balance of various emotions we experience too

We learn our goals and dreams as we search for who we are at our core
Shaped by people who mean the most to us who have influenced us before

Forgiveness is a choice and necessary process
To free yourself and find peace
Letting go of hurt from others is a needed release

Happy experiences help us bloom to enjoy the feelings of elation
Finding a balance of personal time can be accomplished when taking a vacation

The richest people of all are those who are content and not chasing the next best thing
Appreciation for what you already have is what this will bring

Having faith in God who created you to love
Is the purpose of our lives when He sent you from above
Helps develop a healthy mind and heart full of love

Every moment from birth and each tear that falls when you cry
God always knows how you’re feeling; He cares and understands why

Jesus experienced the same emotions on earth as the ones we all do today
The Bible is God’s tool to help us navigate the way

There isn’t always an answer for the experiences we go through
Being born again will change your life and  transform your heart too

Appreciation and gratitude are powerful in creating an abundant life
Dissipating conflicts and diminishing strife

It’s important to love God above all the rest
He allows you to experiences trying times
Giving you a chance to grow from it and respond in love, by allowing these arduous tests

Loving yourself is important because he made you exactly as you were created to be
The free will we’re given allows areas in your life needed for change that negative outcomes allow you to see

Being open to others constructive criticism is an opportunity to grow in what we might not recognize in ourselves
Responding to advice said in love, defensive and reactive reveals conflict within yourself

Learning lessons is important on this earth why we’re here
Draw close to those you love most who are near

There is always something to be thankful for
No matter the day you face
Handling it positive will keep you from becoming a disgrace

Honesty and integrity to keeping your word will produce others ability to trust you
Instead of lies or broken promises that can make people stew

When you hurt others because we are human and all make mistakes
Apologize for your wrongdoings, owning up for the part in the hurt you played
Don’t let fear keep you from apologizing by reminding afraid

God always has people to cross your path as a blessing or lesson to learn from
He created everyone equally and doesn’t want you to go through life with a heart feeling numb

People can be quick to judge and criticize others; absorbing themselves in worldly negativity
Realize that everyone has trials; learn compassion and sympathy

Look for the good until you find it
The storm will always end so don’t ever quit

In the middle of trials when it’s hard to see things clearly
Take a step back and shift your perspective genuinely

Instead of asking why you are experiencing these hard times
Abundant beauty blooms from going through the climb

Ask instead; God, from this moment I’m experiencing; what am I supposed to learn
Even if staying positive minded is a slow burn

Having trust in God that He will always work things out for the good according to those that love Him
Can be built through praise and adoration singing you’re favorite hymn

Before you come to the end of your life on earth decide the legacy you want left behind
Important attributes about someone is at their core being humble, loving and kind

We aren’t born to live in isolation closed off from people and experiences
Where lessons and growth could never be attained in their absences

You can’t always ascertain the reason behind situations that we face
Make what you can take away from them the direction that you chase

God never wants to see you in pain even though it’s a part of the process
Learning to have faith and trust Him is what
leads to success

Where your heart should be is focused on using the Bible, God’s living word to guide you until you’re called home
Don’t allow the devil to let you live your life in confusion wasting years because you continue to roam

God giving us life on earth to experience love and emotions is a beautiful gift he gave
But none matches His endless love He showed us  for mercy and redemption
by dying on the cross and rising from the grave

So make it your goal to daily live a life that pleases the Lord in all that you say and do
Give your life to Him and let Him create in you a heart transformation that is new

Praise Him daily for all you have and pray for your every need
Trust that He will answer, even if right now your faith is as small as a mustard seed

He doesn’t give you what you don’t ask for even though He knows your every thought
But He answers prayers in His timing; how He knows best come from the words in our requests we have brought.

Love others well; show your love for God through how you live in word and deed
Put others before yourself to provide continually for their need

Create a life where your spirit beams brighter than the sun
Before God calls you back home and your time on this earth is done.

About this poem

This is a poem I wrote to help others feel loved and share God’s love for them in today’s world of chaos and strife. Today, many people live so easily offended and further divide ourselves from one another because of labeling others for not sharing the same views. I want people to know that we are all created equal, by a God who loves us, and share how people can find peace. I want people to know how to go through this life in a way to avoid unnecessary added hardship that we don’t always intend to bring upon ourselves. Most important of all, in hard times I want people to know that there aren’t always answers to why people experiences what they go through, but God sees their every tear and understands what they are feeling. There is positive to look for in times that are dark and you can find them in keeping close to faith and looking for what God is trying to teach you to learn from them. This poem is meant to explain faith as we grow up continuing into our legacy as our life comes
