Christmas Time is Here

Here’s a Christmas poem I wrote. What do you think?

“Christmas Time is Here!”
By: Matthew Hovey

In the realm where snowflakes gently dance,
And candlelight shimmers in an ethereal trance,
A season of joy, of warmth, and delight,
Unfolds before us on this sacred night.

Oh, Christmas, with your enchanting embrace,
You weave a tapestry of love and grace,
With melodies sung by a choir's sweet voice,
And hearts aglow, in harmonious rejoice.

The world adorned in a gown of pure white,
As stars twinkle above, casting gentle light,
A hush descends upon the land so still,
While dreams of goodwill the air do fill.

Through frosted windows, frosty tales unfold,
Of tales of old, of kindness untold,
Of a humble birth in a manger's embrace,
And the hope that shines on every face.

The scent of pine, a fragrant embrace,
Fills the air, invoking memories of grace,
As twinkling lights adorn each evergreen,
A symphony of colors, a magical scene.

Families gather, hearts entwined,
Sharing laughter, love, and dreams aligned,
With gifts exchanged and stories shared,
A bond of love that cannot be compared.

In the midst of the hustle, the world at play,
Let us not forget the true meaning, we pray,
For Christmas is not just about presents and cheer,
But a time to reflect on what truly is dear.

It's a time for compassion, a time to give,
To lend a hand, so others may live,
To spread love and kindness, far and wide,
And let peace and goodwill be our guide.

So, as the snowflakes fall, soft and light,
And the stars twinkle, casting their celestial might,
May the spirit of Christmas forever endure,
Filling our hearts with love, steadfast and pure.

For in this magical season, we find,
A glimpse of heaven, a love so kind,
So let us celebrate, with joy and glee,
The beauty and wonder of Christmas, you see.
