Blind Eye

No justice for an injustice crime
As white America continues to turn a blind eye
Turn a blind eye as we continue to cry
An out cry that falls on deaf ears
Because of the way we look or how we may appear
Whether we are light or dark we see to disappear
Fading to black as if we no longer exist
But with these words escaping my lips
They will linger in your mind like a soft kiss
As you reminisce try to remember we will not be
Dismissed!!!!!!!!!
No justice for an unjust crime WE will not be silent and
We will not turn a blind eye.

About this poem

This poem was inspired by young girls who look like me. Young girls who may have lost their voice and just want someone to care enough to be found.
