A few thousand words

Free verse
They die like so many fireflies at the dawn of morning.

Sadness creeps in and surrounds me like a black cloak and I know there is no escape.

My stories are burdensome at best, making my head ache with their paths but somehow my pen never really manages to capture the true essence of their making.
