Rage Against the Inner Sanctum

Be at your worst
And shower them with your jagged shards
That carve their mark in painted smiles.
Smile for me please,
Slice pursed lips down the middle.

Smash the glasses at their dinner tables
And scream into deaf ears
About the long road of your existence
That has serated a cruel opening
Into the base of your skull
That chill breezes wander through
Lost in the emptiness that is
So very loud
In this silence.

I don't know why so many
Of the beautiful things
In this upside down world
Are covered with bloodstains
That stay week after week
Day after day
Until we pretend not to see them
Anymore.
