Unfortunate Timing

This is about
A young man's death
That time forgot
When he fell from
A crumbling clock tower
And fell through

Minutes

Seconds

Hours

Rewind.

Echoes of a scream of wonder
What a blessing to experience
Everything at once!
Every crossroad
All decisions not made
Those taken rashly
Those hello and goodbye kisses.
Let him live in that present forever.

The wind of multiple possibilities
Rips away at his hair
And escapes through the strands.
What a wonder it must be
To exist everywhere at once!

This is about a young man's death
Who still exists in the eyes of
The stopped clock hands
And echoing toll of midnight.
But has died in my own eyes
And exists nowhere.
