Thee Mirror

Edwin Tanguma 1966 (CA)

Thee Mirror

Every time I look in the mirror
I’m afraid of what I see
The image that is reflecting back
Bears no resemblance of me

Could it be my subconscious mind
Running along on its course
Trying to rind the answers to
Some uncontrollable force

The truth of the matter is simple
When I get down to the fact
Every time I look in thee mirror
My heart knows it’s you I lack

About this poem

Well…I wrote this one so long ago yet it is still fresh in my memory…I reposted it off of the top of my head…It is a rather memorable poem for me for a very special dear friend…I hope anyone who reads it enjoys it…I don’t remember exactly when I wrote this one…but I do believe it was composed in the live poetry.com digichat chatroom…I just used todays date when I was asked for a date…I believe I have even reposted it on poemhunter.com…I am not quite sure of “The image that or which is reflecting back”Which one seems proper to any of you readers???I believe it should be the “which” is reflecting back…It is a m very old poem…Proverbs 27:19 is a good scripture to reflect upon…
