ATARI

Same shit, different year
Life will f*ck you like that
Over and over again

Like 95% of these men
Fool me once, same on you
Fool me twice, you know the saying
Life and these men be playing

I just want to be creative
However, creativity does not often pay the bills I’ve found
Neither does being pretty
Unless spreading your legs to every nigga around

The dulusion of it all
The ebbs and flows of life
We always hope for better

But who is controlling the joystick
The Atari?  The one my father bought
Secondhand…..I was none but eight
Sitting under the huge yellow Lambourghini
It was hung on the wall….my dad considered it “art”

Huff……..
Year 39 and I still am looking
Looking for the player behind my joystick
Who TF is puppeteering this life?
I need to speak to them
Because they obviously have passed out
From the “gas,” percs, tabs?

I’m drowning in this maze
But my controller is not fazed
I cry out
But the NPCs don’t care
Like the fake friends and family
Life just ain’t fair
