Frolicking With Dick & Jane & Sally Part 3

Saturday
One Fine Day  We went Out to the Farm , Out in The Country , Down the Winding Lane & Saw Grandmother & Grandfather  Too. Horses were Pulling a Load of Hay & They said to us Kids would you like to Help with the Chores Today?  We would  make a game of Gathering the Eggs  In The Chicken Coop Where They Were Laid, then working in the Garden & picking Vegetables  The Rest of The Day. We Saw Rabbits Jumping Here & There, They seemed to Be Just Everywhere.   Happy Days will always be down on the Farm  for us to See. Out in The Barn , We Played Today, Rolling round in the Bales of Hay, & Making a Fort in Which to Play. Then We Found a Haystack in the Field  & made Secret Tunnels  & Tall Hills,  Where Did They go ,Round & Round, Where do they Lead. Up & Down , Round & About  & Back to The Farm! We Saw Ducks & Geese & Chickens too & Brown & White Cows who went MOO ~~MOO~~~Bacon & Eggs Await us today Breakfast is Good & Fills  Us Right Away. Maybe we will go out to Play & Get some Sunshine Today. So a week had Flown by so Fast , & we  all knew for Sure it wouldn’t Last, So we Waved Good-by & Got a Hug or Two, & Saw in the Distance Drawing Near, A  Big Yellow Bus  Just Appeared  in View . We Were on our Way Back to School, Seeing Sites along the Way. If we Learn a Thing or Two Today,  we’ll Pass it Right Along To You. Thats The Fun of Sharing Too. Having Manners is Good For You.
Dad is Late for the Office Today & Hurrying Scurrying  to Our Dismay, Mother helps with his Tie, & Shoes, Gives Him a Kiss & Says.... Shoo, Shoo  Shoo!   Shes Packing our Lunches then Kisses us too. And Out to the Busstop We all Flew . And the Garden Gate Was Swinging Out  &    we  all Three Filed out & Began to Shout.    We Waved Dad good-by as he Drove right Past in His Bright Blue Sedan & Policeman Jim saw us off to School. He made it nice & Safe for us . That was His Rule. He looked so great in His Blue Uniform  with Big Brass Buttons & a Whistle too.
