Let It Be Now (Here in this Holy Place)

LET IT BE NOW

If e’er there is a moment when love enters the room,
If e’er there is an hour to exit from the tomb,
If e’er there is a time to take your neighbour’s hand
And walk with them to the Promised Land,
Let it be now,
Here in this holy place.

If e’er there is a lantern that shimmers through the night,
If e’er there is a morning star that gives a warm and guiding Light,
If e’er there is a Fire that Love imparts,
A Flame that kindles every heart,
Let it be now,
Here In this holy place

If e’er there is a tempest that flattens every fear,
If e’er there is a rainbow that colours every tear,
If e’er the sea shall surge across this land
And christen every grain of sand,
Let it be now,
Here in this holy place.

If e’er there is a city built high upon a hill,
If e’er there is one life to live where peace and love prevail,
If e’er there is a New Jerusalem
Where rivers rise no more,
Let it be now,
Here in this holy place.
