Transcendent Sunrise

In the dark bitter cold of night cupping the earth,
Crispness cutting in the darkest emptiness.
Impending but seemingly never-ending birth,
Slightest crest of orange hews in the bitterness.

Adrift in the air fires begin simple brilliance,
As if hope was giving itself freely to the early morn’.
Skies open as the clouds lovingly warmed by its essence,
Vibrant colors kissing all it touches as the day is born.

Sounds of waves crash the shores abruptly moving the sands,
In the distance water and sky meet sharing each other.
Like old friends finding one another once more they stand,
Colors kiss and meld into brightness as the lips of sun uncover.

Rising from natures kiln in all its brilliance dancing on the horizon,
Softly a hand slides across his chest as she lets out a breath in approval.
Shared this moment with eyes gazing admiring the worlds affection,
Pure is the love and joy in sunrise’ transcendence from nights removal.

About this poem

Witnessing the brilliance of nature in the early morning skies. Warming of the soul as the earth reveals itself once more to those on the darkside.
