Planned Candid Demands

One indicating to suggest,
Being honest and free...
Of bigotry, bias, prejudice.
Or malice to expect.
Yet...
The truth to tell as is,
Has been suspiciously hidden.
Deliberately rejected.
Deceived under a smothering,
Of repetitious rhetoric.

Leaving listeners humored.
Without it understood to understand.
If they have been tricked to treat.
Used as fools to feed a narcissistic ego.
Known to entertain and place blame claimed,
On jealous opponents wishing for fame.

Or...
Should they cheer and applaud,
A way of life becoming more corrupted.
By one who disobeys laws.
And frauds with a skill so addicting.
Anything that is demanded of them to do,
They follow as if unconscious.

Planned candid demands.
With a necessity to be pleased.
The one they chose to follow and lead them...
By any means necessary.
Regardless of overwhelming evidence.
That provides proof,
Of an embarrassing humility.
That promises a defeat.
Yet denying they do,
They have been lied to by an impressive...
Thief.
Imitating image.

One pretentiously accustomed to be praised.
With a skill too hypnotic...
To accept and believe anyone.
Especially themselves.
Just tools to be used as fools.
Left mentally bewildered.
Bothered.
Betwixted without end and betrayed!
Thrown under a bus.
But loyal they stay.
Like apple pie stuck to its crust!

'What's up with this?'

'The crushing of the bus?
The apple pie or its crust?
I agree.
I prefer cheesecake with strawberry topping,
Myself.
The taste of this pie has been too overrated!'

'I am not talking about that!'

'I don't blame you.
Not one bit.
Too many won't say,
Exactly what is on their minds.
In fear they will be denied a slice of life!'
