Warmth

I used to keep them all warm, on little hot plates

Scattered around my apartment

My musings

Most, barley simmering

But you, you erupted into a fire

Wild and unpredictable

You never, ever went out…

Smoldered, yes

Raged, at times

And now,

My home is burned

My heart is scorched

And my sweet, constant, enternal flame

Is you
