Suicide

Suicide

You have to take the hard knocks and straighten your crown they say
But those knocks were so damn heavy they knocked me straight out okay
Delirious and confused, battered and bruised, worn and torn, used and abused

Are you feeling me now?
Do I have your attention?
Do my words even reach your comprehension?

Mental illness, what a taboo bruv, just wait until it comes for you or someone you love
Then you'll hear the deafening silence, then you'll understand the word deniance
Obsolete and out of date, you never understood me anyway

Are you feeling me now?
Do I have your attention?
Do my words even reach your comprehension?

It's not all in my head I keep screaming, but you don't even understand what I'm speaking
Hey therapist don't mention my dad, you are about to let off of bomb in my head
And then when I run from the terrifying explosion, you leave me alone to suffer the implosion

Are you feeling me now?
Do I have your attention?
Do my words even reach your comprehension?

I know my anger sometimes rages, but I just need to be freed from your stifling cages
Please let me out, I can't breathe anymore
So, I swallow the blue ones to help end this war
I'll surrender the white flag and all of your chains; I'll free you all from the shame and the blame

Are you feeling me now?
Do I have your attention?
Do my words even reach your comprehension?

Doctor, I'm running out of time, because I know I am already dying inside
I told you I needed help, but instead I left your office with nothing but the cards I'd been dealt
I called my friends but then I sent them away
I don't want to be here for another day

Are you feeling me now?
Do I have your attention?
Do my words even reach your comprehension?

Mum, I love you, I really do, but you know I'll never be free from you know who,
I'm done, I've made up my mind, please don't come you won't like what you find.
In haste she went to find her son, but by the time she got there he was already gone
Her son had played his final hand leaving those behind to understand

Do you feel me now?
Do I have your attention?
Then let’s break the cycle of depression
