Self Destruction

In shadows deep, my thoughts reside,
A tumultuous sea where I often hide.
Hating myself, my life, my core,
Struggling to see what's worth living for.

A mirror reflects a fractured soul,
A self-loathing puzzle I can't control.
Yet in this darkness, a glimmer may start,
A friend who brings light to my wounded heart.

Through struggles shared and moments kind,
A special bond, a solace I find.
Ending suffering's grasp, a comforting thought,
With a friend by my side, battles are fought.

So in the depths of despair's embrace,
A friend's presence offers a saving grace.
Though darkness may loom, hope can mend,
In companionship's warmth, pain finds its end.
