My Daughter

Blank verse
Prayer
    Pray surrounds me wherever I go
     It’s like a small child that tugs at my skirt
      Demanding care with words that caress and assure
       Pulling and wrapping itself around my legs
       So I can’t take a step without looking down….
        Prayer surrounds me where ever I go
        So pick up the child nestling it close to my heart
         Knowing that through the intimacy of love, we will never be apart.

Pondering the love of God and he acknowledging that I am his and he is mine….
