Illuminate

One hates me for her ways,
One hates me for fair play,
One hates me for turning the page,
The rest..
tbh, I don’t even know what to say.
I dont do well with games,
Cause the way I can cut u out the frame,
Like we weren’t out here,
screaming forever and always..
Will have you feeling borderline insane.
But no matter what u say,
We both know I gave you nothing but love.
Put u above.
Now My actions
Are purely a reaction
From my bloodstains, On your hands bae.

I’m done with the headaches.
The unhealed versions of me,
The polar opposites..
But exactly the sames.
What happened to love without chains?
Or are those days, Just lost in a grave.
I want it like it’s all at stake.
Bring on the waves.
Cause for love, I’d turn into a tsunami,
Just to protect your name.
But first. We gotta meet,
Or atleast, say hello again.

I’m over the playmates
The “I got u always”
Just to turn out fake.
Worst than the ones from yesterday.
Lord this year alone, that price..
Iv paid.
I wanted to end it all, I’ll explain.
One night, a glass, while I held all eight,
And pictured a heavenly place.
But in that moment.
All I saw was a face.
Asking me to stay.
To keep my faith.
And trust the hands of fate.
So I put down the blade.
Stepped away from the mirror.
And walked away.
You see, that face, was my reflection..
Looking back at me.

F*ck all the pain
F*ck how much hurt they gave.
It’s time to levitate.
And it’s time to find a love that’s sane
The kind to swap last names,
I wonna show how I really love,
Let me demonstrate.
They say love is dead nowadays.
Well let’s recreate.
Just hurry the f up
And turn up.
I’m done with the wait.
Pull up boo. Illuminate.

About this poem

Laura Cutri

I studied music production and sound design, and this is where u found my talent for writing. Originally started off as wanted to write lyrics, but poetry comes to naturally. Always has, since I was a kid. I just repressed it for so long. Now I’m just trying to follow what dream, what makes me happy. Writing makes me feel like I have meaning in this world. more…
