Fish for tea

ish for Tea!
Loud winds howling, tempest thrashing,
Lightning flashing, thunder crashing,
Ship in peril, crew in danger,
Decks awash as waves sweep over,
“Man overboard,” the cry is heard,
Not for the first time, but the third,
Why do fishermen go on working?
Is not a single one of them learning?
That to work ashore is so much safer,
And will allow them to live much later,
Why don’t they from the sea just turn?
As on land more can they earn,
Or is it for the selfish likes of me,
To eat fish that they go to sea,
It is I find perverse and odd,
I expect them to die just for my Cod.
