IN ANOTHER LAND

                                                 For My Forgotten Sister Maria

In England my sister lives,
Never did I see her smile or laugh,
Because we never met each other’s eyes,
England her home and mine is here,
But in me there’s a desire to see her,
I feel I need to see her cry or be happy,
She is my lost sister and forgotten, Maria,
So far England is,
But I must search to know her eyes,
And to love like I love my loves in this land.
