Misery Leaves Many Miserable

People wanting to win their arguments.
Without paying attention or listening to hear,
What others may say...
To them that makes sense.
Are too often the ones,
Refusing to admit...
How wrong they have been to argue.
Especially with those to have learned,
A mouth kept closed.
Leaves them less to feel miserable.
Then to attempt any effort made,
Establishing common sense.
It would be best with someone like this,
In need to win an argument.
Left to believe they are right about everything.
To know in time they will find,
Ignorance to acknowledge it...
Is not only healthy for the mind.
But also...
The ones who are identified as being wise,
Awakened one day to realize...
A feeling embarrassed repeated,
Had a lot to do,
With them choosing to convince...
Someone who has acquired the experience,
Of first listening.
Before opening a mouth,
To allow stupidity heard to hear come out!

'You know,
I agree with you.'

'I knew you would.
Afterall,
It is me not you...
Who knows what I am talking about.'

'You win.'

'Hold on.
Wait a minute.
That's not fair.'

'What's not fair.'

'Winning to have won an argument,
To be left alone.
Feeling miserable about your loss.'

'Hey...
Such is life.
Although I am sure you'll get over it.
There are so many around like you,
Who believe they are right.
Staying up sleepless at nights,
Knowing they are not wrong about anything.
Hoping for a win...
Others will admit,
How stupid they had been...
To think you have no competition.
Not everyone is blessed like that.'

'I know.
So very few are among the chosen ones.
At times,
I feel so miserable.
Knowing the facts to be what they are.
It's like being abandoned.
Feeling miserable at my own expense.
For no reason at all.'

'Cry me a river.
Cry me a river.
And I'll leave that river all to you.'
