Carmen

Curled in upon herself, a bud awaiting Spring, she opens.
Dressed in garden hues, vibrant as a summer day
She begins, slowly at first, swaying with the breeze.
She reminded me of lemon drops
Bright and sweet like sunshine after a summer storm.
Dancing upon the wind,
The rustling sway of calico petticoats echoes
The scattering of autumn's discarded pages.
She flashes me a smile, brilliant as moonlight.
Her fragrance is a heady wine.
